Blue World Photos

If the eyes are the windows to our soul, then what does a camera lens capture? A good photograph has the power to transport us to another place - to take us away from the mundane and calm our very souls, if only for a moment. Over the years I've noticed that it takes hundreds of photos just to arrive at the one that makes you sit up and say..."Wow". Here's hoping one of my photos is a "Wow" for you. Enjoy.

Breaking News!

I entered a few of my pix in the County Fair, and took 2nd place for "Mustang Hug", and 3rd place for my seascape titled "Sherbet" (it's not on my website yet). Yay!

Anyone know someone who can break the kneecaps of the 1st place winner?

Recently Added:

I've added three new categories: The Car Lot, The Desert, and Trees! Check them out! ("New Stuff" has been renamed "Earth and Water")

I've also re-vamped the Sonora Shop page with pictures of my fans and friends that stop by. 

I'll be adding a Yosemite category in the near future! I've got a few shots in the shop already. Check back in the coming weeks!

I've got gigs lined up in Reno again this summer! I'll be doing the Art Town Art Fair, July 18th, noon to 7, at St. Anthony's on Lakeside.

I'm also making a comeback at Walden's Coffee House in the month of July!

BIG NEWS!

One of my local pictures has been selected to be on the cover of the Summer/Winter issue of "Discover Twain Harte" Magazine! Click on "The Sonora Shop" to see it! I've also signed on as a photographer/writer for the local newspaper The Union Democrat. Watch for stuff on the site from them too!

NEW AND UNUSUAL:

I'm going to be working the Sonora Farmer's Market various Saturday mornings this summer under my new alter-ego BLUE WORLD BOTANICALS!

Yes indeed, I'm going to be selling handmade all natural bath products! Bath bombs, facial mist, mud masks, herbal treatments, and peppermint foot spritz. I'm quite the little Renaissance woman!

The picture you'll receive will be clear, glossy, and gorgeous, have no fear!

Their enlargements are wonderful! They're exhibit grade photos, printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper. (and I've seen the room-size printer they use. WOW!)

You'll still find me at the Wild River Grille in Reno, permanently on display in the hallway between the Grille and Dreamer's Coffee House. This month, I'm celebrating one year at Wild River! I've jokingly referred to this as my "bathroom gallery", due to the fact it's in the hallway that leads to the restroom. But, hey, a wall's a wall!  And everyone has to 'go' at some point, right?  Especially after all that coffee. haha
