This photo was chosen as National Geographic's Picture of the Day on January 12, 2010 on their website! It's also in the top ten photos for January! (note to self - Yay!!!!)
I love this picture. I took this down in the little town of Tecopa, CA, in the Mojave Desert, south of Death Valley. This is rapidly becoming my most popular print!
8 x 12 (print only) -
Framed in an 18 X 24 black 3/4" frame with a complementing matte.

Another find while 4-wheeling in the Nevada desert. The thing most commented on in this picture is the way the texture of the grass makes it look like a painting.

Bodie, California is a really photogenic ghost town to visit. It's a state park now. Definitely worth a visit! Incidentally, this is one of my most popular prints!
8 X 12 (print only) -

Monument Valley, Utah. Navajo land. Gorgeous, soul-searching type of place.
8 X 12 (print only) -

Hwy 50 across Nevada. Dubbed "The Loneliest Highway in America". And, boy is it ever! This is one of my most popular pictures, and the one that illustrates the vast feel of the desert.
8 X 12 (print only) -
The desert is beautiful to me. It's where I grew up. I feel most at home surrounded by sagebrush, mountains, jackrabbits, and the brown, dusty vastness on all sides of me. The sun, the dry air, the way it smells... It's like no other place on earth. It's where you can go when you've lost yourself.
